Our Story
Making Theater Available to All!

Back in the fall of 2013, Cheri and Camille decided to offer theater classes to homeschoolers.Finding a place to hold the class was tricky until Cheri stumbled upon a “garage sale” at the
Meridian Grange. She shared their idea with them, and they eagerly partnered with them by giving them a place to meet, free of charge. That first year, 27 students signed up. They had to quickly find a performance space, so theyended up performing “The Good Sam Smitty” at the Grimstead Farm’s barn!
What started as a one-time class quickly turned into something bigger, and that’s how FromPage to Stage Productions was born! By the next spring, they were offering workshops and had launched their adaptive arts program, Arts for ALL, for adults with special needs. Not long after, they tried their hand at Community Theater, bringing together adults and youth to put on shows for the community.
In 2017, they spread their wings by directing musicals and plays for the Tahoma School District’s Middle School program. This gave them the confidence to produce their first Community Theater musical in 2023, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.”
When COVID-19 hit in 2020 and theaters closed, they adapted by offering Zoom and outdoor theater productions for ages 10 -adult. During this challenging time, they took a big leap and
became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which opened up more opportunities to provide theater, dance, and art to people of all ages and abilities.
Thanks to persistence and a love for the arts, From Page to Stage Productions has grown and continues their dedication to fostering creativity and inclusiveness in the performing arts in
South King County, thus staying true to their original mission “Making theater education and performance accessible to all individuals regardless of their ability with the goal of all persons
discovering their confidence, beauty and voice.”
